Save Download List for Upgrade

Description

Hi... I've been using dTa for quite a while now, yet every time I upgrade, i'm constantly disappointed. I tend to use download manager as a list of things i want to download, and wait until i've got a decent sized list and download them at night/or when i'm not using the net... So they'res usually a list of unfinished downloads...

When i get prompted to upgrade dTa (upon starting up firefox) i usually hit yes, only to return to the newer (and always better... thanks) version of dTa, and have my unfinished downloads wiped. Is there a way you could save these downloads, or at least re-prompt me (in the process reminding me that there are unfinished downloads?) I think it would save a lot of people hassle... :)

Nonetheless, thanks to the team for such a wonderful download manager- i couldn't live without it. :)

Mitch

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to duplicate.

First of all, 1.0 -> 1.0.1 should have preserved all downloads. Unless you configured to clear those.

There are 2 settings affecting this:

  • The "Remove ..." settings in DTA/Preferences/Privacy
  • The "Clear DownThemAll! history and queue" setting in Firefox' built-in privacy control (Clear Private Data)

Furthermore 1.1 will feature import/export of downloads. See the ticket I'm marking this one duplicate to.
