Firefox browsing slowed by dTA config changes to network.http.max-xxxxxx

Reported by: senkun Assigned to: MaierMan
Priority: critical Milestone:
Component: Infrastructure Version: 1.0
Keywords: firefox slowdown Cc:
Operating System: Windows

Description

Version 1.0 causes Firefox web browsing to slow to a halt. To the point that nothing loads. Errant reports blame Firefox for random slowdowns, but it seems to have been triggered only if users updated dTA to version 1.0

On using dTA 1.0, changes are made to Firefox config, specifically;

network.http.max-connections network.http.max-connections-per-server network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server

Manually resetting the above values to default clears the problem.

In version 0.9, the only changed value appears to be: network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server This doesn't seem to slowdown Firefox.
