Confirmation dialogue desperately needed for "remove from list" in context menu

Reported by: Degenerate Assigned to: MaierMan

Description

A simple slip of the mouse can remove a download from the list. Once this happens, there is no apparent way of resuming. Re-adding to the list makes it start from scratch. This happened to me with a multi-gigabyte download that was nearly complete.

I don't think a confirmation dialogue could be a good solution... it's annoying and the user would tend to click ok automatically, making it unuseful. We could think about an 'undo' feature instead.

...or, what about an option like "DOWNLOAD RESCUE" for continue files already started?, would be AMAZING if we could even take an uncomplete file from anywhere and add it to queue. In example: I'm not in my computer, so I don't have downthemall, and start the download of a video to a flash memory, I have to stop it at the middle, but the uncomplete file stays, then I go home and add it to the dTa's queue and it continues from the place it stopped before. I know nothing about programming, I hope this was possible. In addition, what if we could, through you homepage or directly from dTa manager, check if a server lets to resume downloads?

Something happened to me: I was downloading a 700 MB file from ADrive.com, here the exact link: http://www.adrive.com/public/9d8efa0c34738c89014a86ebc372c30cc904998e38b7f9fe1816feeed660cdfa.html My connection is 512Kbps but the download was always under 30KB/sec, most of times over 50KB/sec, I have always the multipart disabled, so I thought that adding one more chunk could help... stupidly I did when the download was at ~60% after several hours... dTa started from zero again. In the confussion I don't remember what I did exactly, but I end with no file, so I looked for it with an undelete app, and found it in the dTa Temp working folder, I restored it and notice that dTa pre-allocates the space. I tried in many ways to resume my download from the place it was before my great idea. I even tried to change this "written:1148236" to this "written:350000000" in the file "dta_queue.sqlite", obviously didn't work.

I'd like even more this great program if You give us a way for recovering broken downloads... PLEASE!.

Thanks for your effort and for sharing. I promess I will make a donation as soon as I can. By the way, please excuse my english, it's not my first language, but spanish.
