Description

I am downloading files from secured site. so i need to put username and password for the site. of course it is working fine for a first account. if i changed the account information in my site, i need to change it in downthemall(DTA) too. There is no option to change the password. if the password is wrong the DTA prompted for new username/password (its prompting 4 times). even though i checked the checkbox "save the information to the password manager", but the new password is not updating. whenever i am downloading from the site DTA is prompting the same.

Thanks.

Ditto.

I reset DTA settings to default and Foxfire options >> Security >> Saved Passwords >> Remove All

The pop-up security box for the site is now blank but it keeps returning the prompt.

Are ticket:1340, ticket:1121 and ticket:913 related???

  • type changed from defect to enhancement.
  • component changed from Downloads to Login/Passwords.
  • summary changed from Password manager issue to No way to remember (change) password [was: Password manager issue].
  • owner changed.
  • keywords deleted.
  • os changed from Windows to All.

Firefox and other switched to asking to remember/change the password not in the dialog but after authentication was successful.

dTa does use the login manager, but provides no way to actually save the login information after there were entered.

The bits about multiple prompts are another issue (#1121)
